Week 1: Quick review of noun declensions, verbs--active and passive, and adjectives. Ablative of means, agent, and cause. Subjunctive mood—Present and Imperfect. Purpose Clauses Versions 1 and 2. Independent uses of Subjunctive . Vocative and Imperative. Emphasis on translating rather than memorizing endings. Lessons 1-23. Lesson 27, Lesson 29 (Present and Imperfect). Week 2: Subjunctives--all tenses and voices. Relative Clauses. Direct and Indirect Questions. Adjectives as Nouns. The Uses of ad. Purpose Clause #3. Suus, sua, suum Lessons 24—26, 28-29. Week 3: Participles, Demonstrative Pronouns, Prepositions. Ablatives. Lessons 30--34. Week 4: Infinitives. Tenses of the infinitive. Irregular verb--possum, Complementary infinitive. Subjective Infinitive. Objective Infinitive. indirect statement (Infinitive with Subject Accusative). Lessons 35 and 39. If we have time: Adjectives. Adjectives including suus, sua, suum, numerals, irregular adjectives, comparison of adjectives. Lessons 28, 36, 40. Verbs. Rules for time. Verbs-- 3rd io, verbs with dative, passive of verbs of calling, deponent verbs, irregular verbs. Lessons 37, 38, 41, and 42. Coursework subject to change based on the needs of the class.
